Thank You

I am very late on posting this picture! I received some Blog Candy from Lynn- The Queen's Scene- awhile back. I took a picture, and never put it on here!

I love all the goodies. I was so shocked that out of 99 posts, my name was chosen! That luck continued with me to the CTMH convention where I got all those stamp sets. Thanks to Lynn!
The pink paper in the front with the cupcake is a card I am working on using the supplies she sent to me.

So many emotions, but mostly, overjoyed!

My sister gave birth to her 2nd daughter, Avery, this afternoon. It's been a rough few weeks, and we are all relieved that mom and baby are doing great! :-) I am going to meet her tonight. I can't wait!

Slacker

So, a few of you have given me awards on your blogs in the past month. I've been a really big slacker about replying to those. First, I say a big thank you to everyone! I am so glad I started this blog. I get so much inspiration from you all. It makes crafting so much more fun! Believe me, when I show Nathan my creations he smiles, but he just doesn't get it! :-)
Now, I want to thank all of you for your sweet and uplifting comments. They never go unnoticed and are always appreciated!

I'm off to get creative...

More Boom-Di-Ada

Now that I've opened and started cutting these papers, I can't stop! I am really bad about holding onto things and not using them. I am realizing just how silly I am!

This card is a layout from the new Originals book. It is the first card layout in the book, and I can't remember the name right now. It was quick and fun. I am trying to do a little more stitching, and I see that I need practice.

I loved, had to have, this coffee stamp set. Well, I rarely use it. I pulled it out for this simple, all occasion card. I really LOVE the new Hollyhock ribbon. This pattern is my very favorite!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. My husband is walking again, and we are all so happy. He took Bryson on their normal Saturday morning trip to the park. You should've seen the smile on the sweet boy's face! :-)

We are a little nervous about the storm headed our way. I went to Walmart at 8 A.M. this morning. I usually beat the crowd, but not today. Everyone was out buying supplies for school and for the storm. It was crazy! Also, my sister is due with her second child any day now. We are all a little nervous. I'll keep you all updated.

Boom-Di-Ada...

Here it is! I feel like there needs to be something in the space beside Scarlett's picture, but I can't figure out what to put there. Any suggestions, or should I leave it alone?

I've been going through Bryson's baby clothes and making a pile to give away. We have only one boy in our family, so it is time to decrease what I am saving. I am keeping a few things. Ya know, just in case!

I found this hat. It is the inspiration for this sweet layout. I love the title so much. Don't all parents feel this way? :-)Enjoy the weekend!

Sneak Peek...

of my current project. I have creativity flowing, but everything seems to be taking me forever. I guess that could be because I have a 1 and 3 year old in the house! Ha!
I finally opened and cut some of my Boom Di Ada papers. I love this packet, and I think I found the perfect pictures for it! I am hoping to have it finished later tonight, so stay tuned!
Notice that cool brad on the second picture? Oh, and the pretty Hollyhock ribbon in both pictures? I did manage to use some new product for this one!
Hope everyone is doing well. We spent the day indoors because of rain. I am so ready for the hot and rainy summer to be over!

I'm Back!!!

I decided to tackle this layout after all was quiet in my house tonight. I am thrilled with how it turned out. I've been playing with the layout of this one for days! I just didn't think it was perfect until tonight. I love these pictures of my sweet kids. I edited them on Snapfish and added the textured border. I distressed the edges of the photos with Hydrangea ink.

I used Liquid Glass to adhere Watermelon paper to the clear buttons. It gives a great, shiny look to them! The flowers are stamped with the flourishes from the Doodle Alphabet stamp set.

On a personal note, my husband is using his leg some this week. It is great to have him helping out more around the house. I especially enjoy the fact that he can take his own plate to the table and to the sink. :-) Sounds silly, I know!

Thanks to all the A/C sympathy. All is well now. Thank goodness!

It feels good to finally get some mojo back. I was getting worried! I have all this new stuff to play with, so I need to feel creative.

All products are CTMH!

Something Simple

Ok, so I still haven't had much play time lately. My mom is visiting because my sister is on bedrest until her baby is born. I also have a lot of little things I need to get done at my house since we were out for almost two days without air. I created this little card (and I seriously felt zero ounces of creativity is my bones last night) using Whoops A Daisy papers and the "hello" stamp from one of my new business builder sets. It's so simple, but I like it! I am working on a Whoops A Daisy layout, but it is taking me forever to make decisions about how to place everything. :-)

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Beat the Heat!

My mom and I took the kids to the zoo today. This is their favorite part of our trips there!

We have cool air in our house this evening. :-) Yeah!

You'll have some creations soon.

Still.......nothing

I still have nothing to share!
We've been having A/C problems, and today our house hit 93 degrees. No fun, especially when you live in a hot place!
We are staying at my sister's house - just down the street - until tomorrow night. Our guy says he will have it fixed late tomorrow. I am trying not to complain because he is giving us a deal. We really need that right now.
I am busy planning gatherings and workshops. Convention was so motivating! I hope to have something to share by Saturday morning. Cut me a little slack, please?
Stay cool,
Stacy
